    Launched in 2012, an 'Authentic London Dry Gin' by the City of London Distillery was the first gin distilled in England's capital city for over 200 years - the Square Mile release saw the ABV increased from 40.3 to 47.3% to add more bite on the finish.

    This is a simple gin in all the best ways. Just seven botanicals are used - juniper, coriander seed, angelica root, liqourice root and peels of orange, lemon and grapefruit. It's crisp and clean, with a soft mouthfeel that calms the spiciness of the first four botanicals in that list to allow the citrussy elements to rise up. Some gin purists might argue there's not enough depth and complexity to this gin, but sometimes you just want a really good gin without any bells and whistles, that will complement pretty much every tonic out there, but also work as a great base for more extravagant gin-based cocktails. This is that gin. And honestly, I think this is SUCH good value for money given that loads of gin around a similar price point tend to go way over the top on the juniper, or just taste like paint stripper.

    AND it looks good too. Double bonus!

Orders weighing up to a max of 2kg will be charged £5.99, and orders weighing over 2kg will be charged £7.99. ANY PURCHASE OVER £150 WILL RECEIVE FREE SHIPPING.

    PLEASE NOTE: The Spirit Specialist is CLOSED on Sundays and Mondays - all orders are collected by Royal Mail the day after they are packaged up. As such, if you place an order on a Saturday, Sunday or Monday, your order will be packaged up on the following Tuesday at re-opening, and then collected by Royal Mail on the Wednesday morning. PLEASE BEAR THIS IN MIND IF YOU ARE WORKING TO A DEADLINE!

    All goods must be examined at the time of delivery and any damages or shortage must be recorded on the relevant delivery acceptance forms with the delivery. Un-examined or un-checked goods that result in a subsequent claim outside of a 48 hour period will not be accepted. Queries relating to claims must be made within 48 hours of receiving the goods, otherwise claims cannot be guaranteed.
