Cloud House
Cloud House Colombian Coffee Liqueur 31% 70cl
Launched in October 2024, Cloud House is a coffee liqueur from the brand owners of Bearface Canadian Whisky, Glendalough Irish Whiskey and White Claw - yes, White Claw, the hugely popular (in the USA at least) alcoholic seltzer.
Rum aged in ex-Bourbon barrels and distilled on the Caribbean coastline of Colombia - possibly from Destileria Nacional- is infused with a cold-brew coffee made with beans sourced from the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta - also situated on that same Northern coast.
This is a delicoiusly balanced coffee liqueur, with espresso earthiness offset by a sweeter note of salted caramel and vanilla. The brand are pushing serving it as a long drink with tonic but that a flavour combination I personally just don't get. However this DOES make one excellent Espresso Martini or Coffee Old Fashioned!
