Diablesse Rum was founded by human whirlwine Cleo Farman, who is a person that if you meet in the flesh you will never forget - her passion and enthusiasm for the rum category is absolutely infectious.
La Diablesse means 'Devil Woman' in French and she is a character that haunts Caribbean folklore, particularly in French colonies such as Martinique. A beautiful mortal woman who made a deal with the devil and became a demon, she would hide her monstrous form under a wide brimmed hat and behind a fan, the giveaway sign being the sight of cloven hooves poking out from her dress. However, La Diablesse also became a symbol for female empowerment, punishing rich men who would be distracted by supposed beauty, ignoring the character of the person within.
Diablesse Clementine Spiced Rum used Demerara rum from the Diamond Distillery, the only distllery left in Guyana. The rum is brought over to Manchester where Cleo lives and is infused with Clementines, clove, star anise, cinnamon, vanilla pods, ginger root and pimentos.
The fruit and ginger spice notes really evoke a festive feel, and this is a brilliant spiced rum for winter, with clear notes of ginger cake and orange. But the addition of pimento and star anise bring a nice kick to finish, lifting the flavour profile rather than letting the sweeter notes dominate. As such it's great with a lighter, sweeter ginger ale, and also works brilliantly in a Cable Car cocktail!

Shipping rates are based on WEIGHT of goods - the total weight of your order will determine the cost of the shipping charge due to price banding imposed by Royal Mail. Orders weighing up to a max of 2kg will be charged £5.99, and orders weighing over 2kg will be charged £7.99. ANY PURCHASE OVER £150 WILL RECEIVE FREE SHIPPING.
PLEASE NOTE: The Spirit Specialist is CLOSED on Sundays and Mondays - all orders are collected by Royal Mail the day after they are packaged up. As such, if you place an order on a Saturday, Sunday or Monday, your order will be packaged up on the following Tuesday at re-opening, and then collected by Royal Mail on the Wednesday morning. PLEASE BEAR THIS IN MIND IF YOU ARE WORKING TO A DEADLINE!

All orders are sent on a Tracked service with Royal Mail, which provides a Tracking Number for you to follow its journey to your destination.

All products are securely packaged in Air-Shock bottle bags or frankly excessive amounts of bubble wrap for additional protection.
All goods must be examined at the time of delivery and any damages or shortage must be recorded on the relevant delivery acceptance forms with the delivery. Un-examined or un-checked goods that result in a subsequent claim outside of a 48 hour period will not be accepted. Queries relating to claims must be made within 48 hours of receiving the goods, otherwise claims cannot be guaranteed.
