The Martini is an evolution of the Martinez - which itself was an evolution of the Manhattan. The first known written recipe for a Martini dates back to 1888 and early drinks would also include bitters and/or liqueurs.
The flavour profile became progressively drier over the following years - a 'dry' Martini has a greated proportion of gin to Vermouth and become more 'wet' as more Vermouth is added. With only two core ingredients providing depth and complexity, it is vitally important the quality of both is as high as possible to create a memorable drink.
Numerous cocktails call themselves a 'Martini' - Espresso, Pornstar etc - but this is inly becuase they are served in the same type of cocktail glass. A 'true' Martini can only be considered as a simple marriage of gin and Vermouth - plus a garnish if required!
TO SERVE: Keep this bottle in the freezer and pour directly into a well-chilled cocktail glass. No ice is required as a small amount of water has already been added to dilute slightly. Garnish with a thin strip of lemon peel.Please note due to syrups and purees being used in the production of these cocktails there may be some seperation within the bottles - this is perfectly natural and will not affect the flavour of the drink once prepared!

Shipping rates are based on WEIGHT of goods - the total weight of your order will determine the cost of the shipping charge due to price banding imposed by Royal Mail. Orders weighing up to a max of 2kg will be charged £5.99, and orders weighing over 2kg will be charged £7.99. ANY PURCHASE OVER £150 WILL RECEIVE FREE SHIPPING.
PLEASE NOTE: The Spirit Specialist is CLOSED on Sundays and Mondays - all orders are collected by Royal Mail the day after they are packaged up. As such, if you place an order on a Saturday, Sunday or Monday, your order will be packaged up on the following Tuesday at re-opening, and then collected by Royal Mail on the Wednesday morning. PLEASE BEAR THIS IN MIND IF YOU ARE WORKING TO A DEADLINE!

All orders are sent on a Tracked service with Royal Mail, which provides a Tracking Number for you to follow its journey to your destination.

All products are securely packaged in Air-Shock bottle bags or frankly excessive amounts of bubble wrap for additional protection.
All goods must be examined at the time of delivery and any damages or shortage must be recorded on the relevant delivery acceptance forms with the delivery. Un-examined or un-checked goods that result in a subsequent claim outside of a 48 hour period will not be accepted. Queries relating to claims must be made within 48 hours of receiving the goods, otherwise claims cannot be guaranteed.
