    The Boann Distillery, situated in County Meath, began distilling in December 2019. having been set up by the Cooney family, who already had 40 years of experience in distillation by that point.

    'The Whistler' is named in honour of Pat, the head of the family, who is regarded for his tuneful whisting while working hard to create high quality spirits.

    Malt and grain spirit was originally matured in ex-Bourbon casks before a period of time was spent finishing in barrels that previously held Oloroso Sherry. This is a beautifully silky whiskey, with notes of runny salted caramel, a hint of candied citrus fruit and a sprinkle of sweet spices.
